Coats To Needy Children

Christmas in January…Urban Partnership Bank Gives Coats To Needy Children
Chicago, Illinois -- On Monday, January 10th more than 50 youth ranging
in age from 5 through 14,
received winter coats, hats, gloves and other warm clothing items thanks
to the efforts of Urban
Partnership Bank and South Central Community Services, Inc. The winter
clothes had been collected
at various branch bank locations and culminated in a special
distribution ceremony at South Centrals
main office.
On hand to give away the gifts were Mr. Dwayne Brown, Vice President of
Urban Partnership Bank,
Ms. Leana Flowers, Director of Community Relations and Dr. Felicia
Blasingame, President/CEO of South
Central Community Services, Inc. The recipients were children from the
agency’s Head Start program,
their parents and a host of teens from the After School program all of
whom were happy to be receiving
a second Christmas Day!
Dr. Felicia Blasingame said “We are truly grateful to Urban Partnership
Bank and to all of those who were
kind enough to contribute these winter clothing items. Many of these
families would go without if it were not for their efforts”.
“This is a great example of how Urban Partnership Bank is committed to
helping the families it serves in
the communities where we do business”, said Ms. Leana Flowers, “and we
look forward to working with
South Central next year”.
